#1 The Hover Fly really sets of the first one. I like the way the flowers overlap too.
#2 Love the jewell in the centre. (That's center to you :D )
#3 Wow - just look at the way that water droplet is sitting right on the edge of the petal.
#4 Do you still need your mind blown? Just take another look at the colour in that poppy. That'll do it for ya! Is that a Californian Poppy?
#5 EW - Does that stand for extremely wonderful.. It should!

Geck! That rose and dew drop is my favorite!
I saw LOTS of poppies this morning on the drive home from the river and with every sighting, I thought of you.

Thanks, Dave... you know those weird bug shells? Mark posted one last week, and when I saw this pair in my neighbor's garden I cringed, but knew I had to put them in position for this shot.

Thanks, Alan... yes! A California poppy... they're especially abundant this year. :D

Thanks, Julie... taking a deep breath... you just reduced me to tears... Damn I miss him! ;)

Bugs are neat. As long as they don't sting or bite... I find them fascinating.... especially a macro shot like this one.

Wow....That water drop on the Sterling Silver just blew me away. Now how did you manage that. You used a mister didn't you?

These are all great. Love the poppy. They have been wonderful this year.

These are wonderful ... even if they do have 'ew's in them. :) Love the water drops and that first one with the wasp! I don't like getting that close to the stinging things so will admire him in your photo - don't mind bumblebees as they tend to be only interested in getting nectar but don't trust wasps. :) Thanks for sharing these shots!!!!

Well, what can I say that wouldn't be redundant. Maaahvelous Daaaahling! :D

All are wonderful, but the Sterling and the Poppy have to share first place with me in this group. Grrrrrreat as usual, Geck. And I wish I'd known Poppy--but, oddly enough, I feel like I'm getting to know him little by little as the years flow by. What a fascinating, caring, wonderful man............!

Enrapturing! *oohing and ahhing*

Did you use any filters or additional lenses on you 990 for these shots?

Were any of them shot in "studio"?

BTW, I don't get here nearly often enough - I love the seperations of the forums!
