These are just a couple of shots from our walk through Harden Woods recently. This first one is of the stream that runs through the lower valley.

Although there are numerous mini rapids as the stream drops the valley there is quite a reasonable waterfall at the head, approx. a 12 - 15 foot drop.

This is the scene once you climb to the top of the waterfall. (via the path. :D )

Wow that second one is gorgeous! I love the lighting in that one and the mossy rock & ferns-could be here! The first has some pretty purple flowery things on the left! The lighting is a little bright in that one but I'll bet you could fix it with an auto levels in PS7. Nice walk and good for you too!

Blood levels-are we talking glucose? Just being nosey!anyway hope you are soon back in the pink!:D

Thanks for the visit and comments Alan, Sunny and Win. It was one of those days where there was not a lot of real sunlight, fairly overast most of the time, but just sometimes everything would suddenly be really bright. Strange but beautifully effective for photos. #1 is SOOTC as are the others except for a slight sharpen after resize.

As to the blood levels, Sunny, I had to have open heart surgery 16 months ago to fit a replacement valve whcih necessitates the use of drugs to prevent blood clots and it is these levels that are still, apparently, going haywire. It is a fine balance to keep the blood too thin to clot over-readily yet thick enough not to create a bleed. Unfortunately this has resulted in mini strokes which, so far, thankfully have not had any lasting effects but do sometimes affect my powers of concentration. Hence sometimes I am unable to post complex answers - brain refuses to work. But hey! I'm still alive! :D :D :D (That's why typing is most often by Joy)

Hey Rob...if these scenes were here in my neck of the woods (Wisconsin) I'd be terrified to go there! :D MOSQUITOS!!!

Seriously though, it looks like a wonderfully relaxing place...and I'd love to have it near me. :D

 :)
