This is exquisite.

How in the world did you achieve the depth? At first look, it struck me as a nebula with the life force brewing.

What medium did you use? Is it watercolor? Size?

Most inspiring and ethereal.

Thank you all ! :)

Mary Riggs : I used Photoshop to manipulate a photo. For the depth, I played with the contrasts then added duplicated versions of the original picture. Then I added colors and textures.

But I agree with you, it would be an excellent piece to paint with watercolor !

Very clever! No matter the medium, it is wonderful.

This is excellently executed!! You know...it's also indicative of smoke pluming. Either way: douse the power candle-light stormy. I like lots.

Tam :)

Cloud pics are amongst my favorites. I see the faces!!!! I LOVE what you have done here. Did you take the original photo? I wouldn't mind seeing what it looked like before you worked your magic!

Here is a cloud pic I took from a plane.....I sure wish I had photo shop!!!!!!

color portrays strength
anger in the sky
jagged lightening strikes
compliments the rolling
showing Mother Nature
in fury
man shudders and bows
to the boiling sky above
Knowing as the wind blows
the fear will float along
relief fills the void

Very nice piece. Stormy skies energize me. This work touches me.
Thank you for sharing :)

Thank you Xerielle and Sassybird :)

Here's the original picture. It's not mine but I had the author permission to play with it. ;)
