makes the viewer feel
the same position/ perspective as the subject

the quilt is exquisite. i cannot find the words to say how incredible this one is. i think you are really on to something with this quilt series.
my only question is where do you put all these 6ft paintings? you must be completly out of wall space at your house! :)

gin: so good to see you once again ...

ceu, pero: thank you :D

pink: lol, I paint on unstretched canvas, they get rolled up almost as soon as they are dry. I have one display wall, and one working wall.

jeremy: *grin* high praise indeed, I did have a fire for this one

jerry: hiya, not a self-portrait this time ... everyone always thinks we are sisters, though

thanks to all for looking and especially those who commented.

The quilt looks far more finished & detailed than the figure; is this a finished piece, or still in prog? The flesh colors don't quite reach the level of the rest.

So good to see your wok again, it's very unique and your style recognizable. Wonderful work on the quilt and the figure, perspective is refreshingly different!

Another teriffic and unique painting. The quilt rendering is superb. Only wish the rendering of the lower arm and hand were a little more finished, to match the rest of the work. Otherwise, a very satisfying piece of work.

Everything is soooo right to me, about this painting.
The colors, the mood, the light, the folds in the
quilt, the reds in the sking and the quilt.

The face, the eyes the smile.

Very good.
