Maybe just a hint of shadow behind the figure. It's very nice...I like the way it seems they're the only ones out there for miles around!!

The sky is better in this one. As you approach your blank canvas (when using a reference photo) you'll want to look for compositional flaws inherent in most photos. Many times painters will carry on those same off-handed subjects and flaws just because they exist in the photo. Your brush strokes have made the grassy area very interesting. Nice theme.

Thanks all - I really wish my photograph would show the colors a little better. I used some lead tin yellow (my new favorite color) on the pants and I love the effect.
