This is cross posted from the watercolor forum. It's a really simple wash accented with 2 colors of ink.

The wash sets off and frames this delicate flower quite nicely. The limited palette is sometimes the way to go even for a mad color artist like me......lol You can also do loose washes for your subject and ink over them leaving some of the color overlapping for some striking effects.

i love simplistic.. it really makes me appreciate the smaller things in life..like this painting :D
