Finally getting back to painting after taking a few weeks off with the Shingles..:(
Did this one yesturday from one of Cathys wonderful images! (Thank you Cathy for such amazing images to work with!! This is another one of many Im sure I will do!!)
Its about the 3rd dog Ive attempted...acyrlic 12x12

Caron, gawd - I don't know what shingles r but I've heard it's terrible - I'm glad that u feel better! What did u use 4 this, acrylics?

Caron you have managed to get the feel of texture to the fur and life within those eyes. Excellent work!

Thanks everyone..:) It was a nice change from cats and I cant believe how different it actually was to do versus the cats.
Yes, Bt, this is acrylic, my primary medium. I find now that I dont get to venture into the art projects anymore that I tend to stick with acrylic with doing the odd graphite just for change of pace.
I was so lucky with the shingles as I was in the beginning stages for the first week and knew what was to happen next. The first sign of any discoloration, I got put on meds. But the pain was still as intense..:(
The blue background is my favourite blue to work with, Paynes Grey, and I use it in every painting I do in some way or another. My second fav is prussian but not so much for backgrounds in this degree...
