Give the doorman a print....I know he'll love it as much as I do! Lighting is great!:)

sweet...the lighting is superb...i love the bright spots of either reflections or lights in the building. the shade the light and the columns all add up to a masterpiece. is it the undercoat that allows the brights to reflect and shine so wonderfully?

neutrals have found a home in your technique .. they make it sing.

The greens, blues and reds just tickle me! I love the play of light, wonderful painting! Feels like a summer sunday afternoon:)

The white shirt zings!! Of course he wants a print! I was looking at the building and was curious about the shadow area (to the right of columns) the masonry looks different from the darker area to the lighter area. Is the wall all the same throughout or is there some difference in masonry?

I really dig how you simplify, especially the doorman. He reads so crisp and clear.

he deserves some sort of reproduction
for his part in your inspiration
to do this piece
love the lighting from inside
and down the "hallway"
adds wonderful depth
and a warm cozy feeing
to this "formal" setting
as does the quality
of the exterior natural light
and his relaxed, though watchful pose

This is absolutely beautiful! I love this! I love the figure as part of his surroundings. This paintings would hold together abstractly without a subject, but the subject just adds to the interest.
Wonderful. wonderful, wonderful!!!
Love it!! Am a fool for buildings with columns......love the lighting too.........am keeping it too.....

Superb - love the way the shadows lay across the building adding to the drama. The doorman appears to have become a part of the building - joined to it by the years.
The ceiling lights down the inner halls give them an intriguing quality that speaks of those who passed through them.
You've most certainly reached a level of technical ability that allows your artistry to shine through.
