MY COMMENTS:
Outline was originally done in HB graphite. It was my first time interpreting charcoal into any of my artworks.

Took 8-9 hours to complete.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
What feelings do you get when you view this piece?

Is the piece expressive/thoughtful?

Do you think the use of charcoal could be greater/less?

is it a bad thing that no one has replied, or is it a good sign?

janis went for a very quick response,
this might be a sign that you are being affected by your subject.
sometimes a thread takes days to get interesting.

(BTW i like the unique arrangement of darks, eyes and rings., the sense of being cosmic-fried)

I find it quite expressive..good job of balancing darks/lights. It makes me think back to the 60's, sort of a retro look. Gaps between the teeth could be a little less noticeable.
