Here is a try at palms trees and a boat. You see this type of scene in Grenada a lot. I used a radiograph pen to do this drawing.

This is superb....the palm trees are gorgeous and the boat fantasic.....but what I like more than anything.....you are the only person on Wet Canvas(as far as I know) that has done a sky like that...apart from me. Hehehehehehe....we'll have to form a club:D :D

Yes, all very good, boat trees but especially the sky. I wanna be there.

Indeed, this is a good one, too. Definitely different from your boy.

Hey, do I see a duckie in the sky? :)

Okay, I'm there on the beach right now, being watchful for falling coconuts, I can hear the waves, the seagulls, I can feel the dappled sun, the ocean breeze....

...damn, it's just a dream, I'm stuck at work.;)

Nice picture, it captures the scene for sure.

Another great drawing. I like it very much also. It remembers me some book illustrations I've seen, I love this style.

Radiograph pen is a Rapidograph pen, also called a technical pen.

Thank You I meant Rapidograph Pen. Thank you one and all. I also remember a long time ago seeing a sky done with straight lines and thought I might try it too. I have tried various other ways but liked this one it went well with the rest of the drawing.
I have done another pen and ink of a place in Trinidad. I will see if I can find it and have it scanned.
Again, I never e xpected such a r esponse thank you.

Very nice pen work. The trees and boat are just the right balance in value that gives it depth. I love your sky too. I do skies like that from time to time.

great classic islandy vibe to this...... are radiograph and micron pens very similar or do they have different purposes etc?
