Looks like you had a lot of work with this one.
A nice painting is the reward.

Because of my color blindness, the mix of colors in the center of this piece all blend together for me. I am guessing that you used reds and greens? Those are the two that cause me a lot of problems. Love the overall composition of this and a very good painting!!! :D:)

Oh ordie4. I really like this a lot. I don't know what it is about it exactly, but it makes me think of France or something European. I love the colors and the style. I like the way you have the sky color match the vases and the cup. Pulls it all together to me.

I agree with jjsangel, very French in feeling, a bit like Matisse's
art.

The wood grain on this one caught my eye, too. But so did the flowers. Very nice.

thank you all....

to answer a couple of the questions,
it is 5.5 x 7.5 inches
india ink w/ dip pen
and heavily watered acrylic paints

like most nights i decide to paint, i had no real
idea what i was going to paint going into this piece
started with the pen outline of the vase and the
rest just evolved kind of out of need for something to be
there. most of the line work is done before any color
is put on the page. the color is layered in some areas to
create art least a little depth here and there. the wood grain
was not in the original plan, but once the color was put on the page it just looked like there should be some, so it was
added last.

again, thank you all for responding. i have enjoyed myself in your forum!!!!

It's beautiful! I like the wood of the table, the curtains, the houses in the hill, the tulips... everything. Great colours also.
