My mate Raymond came back from the Barcelona Grand Prix and we were looking at his video and stills, he's a lucky boy, his friend works for Bridgestone the tyre suppliers to some of the teams, all he had to do was get himself over there and the rest was free, I'm still upset at that one!!! pit passes et al.

Anyway we were talking about some of the races we had been at and got talking about Lotus who were a leading F1 team a few years ago and I wondered what one of the modern cars would look like in the old Lotus livery, a bit like jaguar with the British Racing Green of the old days, here's the result -------Alan

Great rendering Alan!! Colors are really neat.

Has your friend ever been on this side of the Pond to the Indianapolis 500? I'm about 30 minutes from Indy and use to go (in my younger days) and party in the infield  (and missed most of the race...LOL) Great fun though

Just as you mentioned the brickyard I was tidying this painting and took the photo as if one of the banks at the track--------Alan

Hi Alan... nice car... I used to watch a lot of F1 races on the TV until Ferrari dominated the whole circuit and it has become too predictable expecially last season.

I always wanted to go to the Sepang GP in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (about 5-6 hours drive from Singapore) ever since Sepang is one of the few F1 races in Asia.... but gradually lost interest of F1 although I still check out the results every now and then.

Thanks Marvin The new track at Sepang looks wonderful, if you get a chance to visit a race you should the noise and the spectacle are well worth it, here is the finished sketch----Alan
