This is one that I did a few weeks ago, taken from a trip to the Lake District.
It`s quarter sheet, bockingford.
The paints are Daler-Rowney artist quality.
I think your painting looks lovely. I really like the way you have handled the people. Sky is wonderful too. Nice composition. Wondering, do you think the church could use a little darks?

This is so well painted...WD!
However, IMHO it really lacks colour, everything seems to be the same blueyblack, yellowgreen or grey, Maybe it's just me but I LOVE colour.
I agree with the addition of some darks both on the church and the trees!

Dark values are in the foreground scene for this one, kids. Low horizon means look here. Church is in distance, above horizon. Is this right, Sharon?
I think it's very nice, looks like a direct p/u from photograph. I think the yellow-green is a bit too blinding though, perhaps some hits of cerulean-like sky color to mix it up a bit and add some depth. Also more interest created and slow down the eye by break-up of the speed lines around the left hand curbing.

Our scanners and digital cameras simply do not capture the quality of our colours very well!!! I have auto balanced your painting... Is this more like it?
I really like your composition and how you painted your people... Nicely done...
