I don't really hang out here much, as i'm hopeless at P/I...but here's a sketch i did before i painted him on my sister's wall. all comments/critiques welcome! thanks!!

Sorry-forgot to say it's a Vis-a-Vis on computer paper, drawn using a grid from a black and white ref photo, reg. size. Thanks!!!:D

Danny-you're right, it's Kurt Cobain. i found a picture of him online, and changed ot from grayscale to just black and white, and went from there. i wasn't sure how accurate it would be...

Quite accurate. You caught something special in his eyes. That is how I could tell it was him. :)

I like your quote, but sometimes a little praise can help a person grow too. :)

Thanks, drwells and jakeally! (i agree about the quote, too; i just thought it was interesting, because most kids tend to look for praise instead of critique. i'd never thought of it like this before...)

It's beautiful, I reckonised Kurt Cobain right wawy, it is something in the eyes that you captured. Something soulful and lost.

Dare I say, I wouldn't recognise him? Shameful from a Washingtonian, I know. My cousin was at his, um, wedding- only thing that ranks me as a true Washington native:D
