Tried to use as few strokes, but I did have to go over some. Not bad for a first tho. C & C appreciated .

Irene, this beautiful in its simplicity and definitely great for your first!!
May I ask...
How much time is involved in a painting like this?
Is this strictly freehand?
The symbol at the bottom right hand corner...is that a stamp or did you paint that also?
What name is given to this 'style'?

Irene! Congratulations! You've certainly captured a whole story with a few brushstrokes!

Hi Annetta -
This took me about 15mins. It's done freehand. I copied out of a chinese brush painting book. I had my name done in a chinese stamp. Thanks for looking and commenting.
Char & Lyn - Thanks :)

(and I love your chop)

Irene, admirable that you could do this with just a few strokes. I know that's how it's supposed to be done but I always want to go back and fiddle. Love the belly! Did you do this on regular wc paper or "rice paper"?
