Henry... I love the sky and I love the water... I think I don't love them together... You're still experimenting with your flat brush, methinks, and you chiselled in the blue and green wavelets??
I took a second look and now I'm not sure... The peachy, rosy colour in the water is fantastic... I suspect that the darker blue lines beneath the castle are what's distracting me... The green lines are softer and work with the smooth surface of the water...

Superb balance. Both of composition and color.
A very hard thing to do.
I adore this painting.

Henry, that sky is much more Scottish and the loch is so very still! Like it!

I like this one A LOT!, Henry
but I do not know if it is really a "normal" sky....LOL
Even being normal, your style is your style
Beautiful, glowing work
Another great one henry. :)
Beautiful, Henry... The water and the reflections are great...
NORMAL SKY???? Scotland? Surely didn't look like that when we were there... but I LOVE IT
Great one... Love the bold colors...

Very impressed with your pics, some great colours and dramatic images.
What paper type are you using and do you have a prefered colour pallette

Thank you all for your kind comments
David....I use mostly the Cotman range...lots of tubes of
Burnt Sienna on occasion
I use is many sheets of Bockingford, it suits my style and I can use ink on it easily
