Nicely done.......I love the water and boat, not sure about the sky. Something there just doesn't sit well with me....ofcourse that could just be me........

Other than that I love the painting.......

ROFL at thought of making changes to the painting...

Wonderful piece, BIG storm coming...
with tear-filled eyes I am saying "Dear God, please save George Clooney".

Congratulations on the sale, Alan. The contrast between the detail on the boat and the loose sky is interesting..

Alan,

The painting is most dramatic. I kind of like that sky, its different than most. Your ability to paint detail such as this while using wet/wet technique shows your talent, and makes you a significant artist.

I've visited your website and all of your work is awesome. I look forward to seeing your posts, keep them coming.

Wonderful Allan!!! Great to see your lovely paintings again!!!

Olga - Trust fookie to come up with an answer like that - George Clooney, great looking actor, was in some movie recently, can't remember the name, but something to do with "the big storm". Never did see the movie so don't know if he lived or if the storm got the better of him.

I believe you are referring to the movie called "A (0r THE) PERFECT STORM." starring George Clooneyand Matt Damon. I have it on DVD.

Alan I think its very nice as always. Are there any art supply stores in Victoria? Since I'm not leaving Washington too soon I'm thinking about making our annual trip there in July.

Sylvielu yes we have several great art stores here is some stuff thats happening in July I am teaching a lot but on July 19 we are having our annual Moss St paint in there will be about 70 artists (I am one) This is a juried paint in so you should see some good stuff there it goes from about 12 till 5 and in that time they usually get about 20,000 people its a very big deal....maybe I could meet you there

Thanks all
Alan :)

Thanks Alan for telling me about it! I will note my calendar. The last time we went was in July and I saw a lot of folks painting. Victoria is a beautiful place and I recommend anyone who has the oppurtunity to visit there.

hi Alan !

Great to see your work again . The success of your work and career is inspirational to us !

I would love to see that show - bit still not quite convenient with three kids;)

I have such fond memories of the Moss St gallery . My Grandpa lived right around the corner on Rockland ave, and I always felt so "grown up " when I was allowed to wander over to the gallery by myself and visit. - which I did frequently.
It must be a great artist community in Victoria !

Love the water and the sky is certainly interesting - the boat seems to be heading away from the storm (which is probably a good idea, given the George Clooney reference!!). The yellow sail stands out nicely, too.

Good stuff Alan!
