Jerry lol--Artbabe was just here and we were discussing your clever sense of humour.
Some fine work in the detail . the green a bit jarring. I like the play of shadow.

Paintonbrush - you know I agree about the green - I tried lighter and yellower but not too much darker but it doesn't work too well for me either. Can you suggest another color?
This is a gallery-wrap so the green and the petals extend down the sides too.

Maybe a darker umber/sap mix? Please dont change it unless you are sure. A non color would really make your flower the center of attention. In my very humble opinion ;-)

You know... I think you're right - by sap I am assuming that you are referring to a green shade, mixed with some of the burnt umber I used on the stamens.

this is very nice. I feel like a butterfly doing a fly by. Jerry hit the nail on the head with the luminous quality. Very pleasing to look at and enjoy.
