I'm posting my latest pen and ink/watercolor of a Cardinal out in our Pine tree this winter after a snow. His feathers were "fluffed" out so he was really cold! All comments welcomed.

GREAT work on the branches and snow!! Some nice detail there :) Not sure about that small white area of snow just under the bird's belly? Maybe a bit more line work on the Cardinal to give him some dimension? :D:)

I agree with Artdude about the bird.
Love the tree.

This would make a great Christmas card.. I do, however agree with Murray about the bird. He does need a little more detail so he will stand out just a little more. Nice job though..:)

THank you, Pep, hope you do try it...it gives you a chance to draw with only one color (ink) and also use a paintbrush to add the watercolor! I made additional ink lines on the cardinal, as advised, and he does stand out better.
