Awesome! I used to breed guppies -- they're beautiful fish -- and each fish is complex enough to be subject unto itself.

guppies are great fish, Neil. they are so cute!

Hi Turtle33, Love to see the painting of Flippy.

If where still around on the forum I will send a photo of her.

I took these photos about 3am, so that there will not be a lot of visitors around, but as you can see in one of the photos, there was still a few around that photo was about 5am, it's right in front of a Camping ground.

Here's the photo reminding me of Flippy

I took this photo at 5am in front of a caravan park, the turtle is laying her eggs.

Here's one of our volunteers we have each year, she came all the way from London for a week just to help out.

And of course Yours Truly, I am measuring her Carapace length, The average length of the carapace is around 97cm we get some around 115cm.

All these turtles are Loggerhead turtles,

hi philip.
the turtle pictures are great!! i LOVE the one that reminds you of flippy. just wait till i tell flippy that you will name a turtle after him. he will be so excited!!!! my turtle is a real rascal. he always gets out of his house. i have found him on the floor next to it about 3 times now. i don't think he knows what to do with himself when he finally gets out. may i paint your turtle picture someday? here is my painting.
the background is true to the time. Flippy was romping in the dirt and the gardens :)

I would be honored if you paint any of the photos.

As long as I get to see it posted :D Only joking.

Looks like Flippy is very mischievous, I hope I spelled that correctly.

not very good at spelling, even the spell checker gets confused with some of my words.

I like your painting of flippy.

I think I should look into getting a freshwater turtle one day.
Does it take much to look after them.

You think I would know would't you? :D

I only work with Sea turtles. we can't have them for pets, even if you could, I reckon they would rip you home apart. there so strong. I could just imagine sitting here on the computer, next thing a large turtle walks into the room weighing over 100 kilograms & pushing you of the chair. Now that would be funny:D

I just thought of something, The poor folks who only have dialup modem connection for there Internet, this page would take fore ever to load. I use satellite for my Internet connection here. Very Very Fast.

I always enjoy seeing your fishes painting Sarah. There were many fishes shops near where I live. There are many beautiful colorful fishes. I like to stop there and watch them. It is too difficult to keep them at home because of the sea water. We have two Lohan fishes at home however, a fish that the Chinese recently said could bring luck as they would have chinese caligraphy on their body when they get bigger. They were famous for couple years but not anymore now as they eat anything and a very survival fish.
