value: I dont see any value problems here or even a peck of anything major.

Debth: Hmm. There is something about the background that is making the other forms kind of just there. Foreground and trees/grass fine. After looking at it again its the dark blue under tone. In the first picture attached the transitions are good. in the second there is that dark blue that is seperating the individual forms (green bush, trees, grass) and they are all appearing to be floating and seperate. This is just my opinion, but even so this is quite a nice work with some very good qualities.

This was what my thought were also. I think it might be the blue line that goes along the top of the bushes.

Thanks so much for taking the time to critique my pastel painting - it sounds like I need to lighten up the sky just above the green bushes and take out the blue undertone? or is it the dark green underneath the bushes? I like your version Wayne - it does soften and lighten it up.

Now that I see it with new "eyes", I will go back work on it.
