I think it's Eva Gardner. (MY mom loves the beautiful silver screen women) I used only Sepia. The picture I used for reference is BW...... Thanks for looking Karen. I worry about a Background....

You know what that reminds me of?? You know those pictures where there are 4 blocks of the Marilyn Monroe face...all in a different or negative form?? You know what I mean? (Is that Andy Worhol's thing?)

Oh this is lovely!
I like the simpleness of the one colour in this piece, although a hint of rouge on the lip area could be fun!?
I did notice that her lips were wider in the ref (at the corners), I think this would help to alter them slightly.

this is going to be great! I would make the face a litlle narrower below the cheekline.

Your Ava portrait is really well done... I rather like it without a background... It has an elegance that complements the sepia... You Mom will love this!

I put Ava through Photo shop and I did a little more painting on her as well......
Still pondering the background. Maybe something like in the reference, with some shadows??
