Another little page from my sketchbook. 4 1/2 by 6 inches on Wallis. I don't usually do flowers but I thought the iris would be a good one to try this on. Dipped the Holbeins in turps to paint this with. Kind of loose and fun to paint with that way. Will be doing a little fine turning when the light is better.

Thanks for your comments. Had a little light to finish by this PM. I liked the results of the turps on the sticks.

Sue this is lovely, I like the effect with the turps, can't get over how versatile this medium is... did you prime the paper first?

Must try this technique... is great. :)

cheers,
Mo.

Mo, Didn't prime... just dipped the sticks in odorless turpentine. May try that next time. I am excited about this process and very pleased with the results. Thanks for taking the time to look and comment.
