After reading your comments I have tried to enhance it on my Ulead program. I would appreciate your thoughts..should I go ahead and change the painting<IMG SRC="http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/26-May-2001/large_pelican.jpg" border=0>

I did not read the other thread. The white stuff is too much IMO.

I think the original is fine composition wise. If you feel that the big blue area asks for something more perhaps a bit of reflection from the distant pelicans would do it. Perhaps something like this...

But again, I am not sure this is an improvement. If you do add something, I think it should be subtle.

I think the white stuff in the second is too much, but perhaps some small ripples or something like that?

Agree about that the white give more unity, but I think another solution would work better.
