Hes heading in the right direction, he saw a pattern, one he new, he must go there, everyone does, for that is what we are, where we came from.

i like this a lot. but, i think the sky is too tall. maybe you could crop the top portion.

i love the colors and the depth. very nice.

compositions good, also range of tones.
maybe the sky could have been alittle more integrated, the diff between application of paint in lower half doesnt work very well with the freedom in the top portion, especially the browner tones in the left top corner, they're fighting with the darks at the bottom.Not quite sure whether the focus of bottom half is matched by top two thirds.

I was wondering if I might use your painting style in this piece as an example in my classes this summer. As a watercolor, it might be a great way to help students learn how to fill a painting with light, motion, as well as contrast in a wet-into-wet painting. Thanks!

The way I'm seeing it, the whole sky is Jupiter, isn't it? The cloud streaks and the Great Red Spot.

Magnificent sense of scale you've captured.
