So,..an experiment in color,..and saying more with less....
This is my first wife,.Peggy,.shortly after we were first married.(She's probably thinking...."SWEET JESUS!,..what have I gotten myself into!:)
MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
How much further in detail and texture should I take this?

make her left arm thicker, and increase description of whats going on with her arms and hand under the chin.Justa general description of what her hand is doing, and the front of her dress.
really gorgeous textures, especially the reds, well, and the balance overall.

Thank you all for your comments;...:)
I'm putting this one aside for awhile. It is an experiment after reading Dan McCaw's new book.."Proven Strategies fo Creating Great Art" It's a beautiful book;..and his paintings are lush with texture and color.
On this painting,..I thought I might incorporate some of his amazingly effective minimalist approach to painting figures;....but it doesn't feel quite right for me.....
If you haven't seen Dan's work before,...you may want to check it out....:p Talk about texture! WHOA!
