Umm I see the background pelicans are like floating out in space? I can't see any depth or foreshortening? Can't pin point it actually.

G'day fellow aussie... http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif i like the 2 close pelicans..the others do seen to be floating in space...i know what you are trying to do..but it is not working...by the look of things looks like the front 2 pelicans are on top of rocks looking down on the ones that are on an island...well i could be wrong..lol... http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

interesting angles and a splash of color - good enough to hang, not sure where, probably at a high end fish store or an art gallery.
I see an asian influence perhaps.
I like it.

i think your dark light pattern is interesting,
the angles reinforce the interest
