I really appreciate the work you have put into this.
I am working on a Chinese painting myself and realize
that this must have taken you a long time.
I would love to be able to paint with small detail
as you have done.
Great Job!

Thanks Carloyn. The details wre painted with small brush and with dry brush technique.

Char, the size is about 12x14 inch. Thanks.

You might nearly be better of to buy a Digital camera & take the photo than transfer to computer. It would be cheaper than buying Photoshop.
Photoshop is very very expensive

Yes, digital camera is getting cheaper nowadays. Have been thinking to get one, any suggestion ? I know that the higher the megapix, the better it is but not sure with the brand.

Stick to a named Brand. Example Canon, Nikon, etc,

If you only want to use it for taking pictures & storing on computer, You don't need a very expensive one.

If you want to take photos & print them at 10 inch by 8 inch than you will need a better camera.

Here is my recomendations,

For only taken picturs & storing on computer get a 2 or 3 megapixel camera.

For Printing photos from digital camera you will want nothing less than a 4 megapixel camera.

The higher the megapixel the better & larger the file size is.

First thing you need to decide what do you want to do with the camera??

Wow. I truly love your style. You conveyed the mist to perfection -- I'm getting a bit damp. Lovely palette. Could spend all day looking at this one. Peaceful.

Beautiful pice. Love the mist.

I've only had one class in this type of painting and we only learned the basic stuff. would love to be able to do this.

Maybe we can get you to do a WIP for us sometime.:)

Thanks Iamhappy (I am also:D), JoAnn, William, Al, Irene, Emilie, Nina, PhilC and Els.

Philip, thanks for your recommedations. I think I should get a 4 mp one as my old pc could only take paralel connection not USB.
I remember I had to buy a paralel scanner also because of that.
I may have the photos printed in the photo lab and I dont have to print one roll film like I did with original photo.
