Hello all, I haven't posted anything lately, in fact I haven't painted much. I was preparing two WIPs of seascapes (this is the first) but I had problems with the camera and I couldn't pass the pictures to the computer. Well now the painting is finished so I post both images together. Arches paper about 30 x 40 cms. Please comment. Thanks in advance.
The final painting:
This was at the begining

Glad to see your back! I think it look great. The only thing I see that you may want to take a look at is the shadow in the most forward boat. To me seems like the shadow should be lower in the boat.....
Excellent job of the water and the boats, I'd say!

Dolors: I love your paintings of boats. As I comment, I am looking up at the little boat postcard you sent me.
Awesome water and reflections.

Sylvie, commented on closest boat. Maybe deepen the shadow and bring it down a bit.

This painting is just lovely! Have to echo the compliments about the water! Looks like you did it naturally and didn't fuss and struggle with it.

The transparency you achieved with the water is absolutely beautiful! Thanks for sharing this, regardless of the steps!!!

Beautifully painted little seascape. I like the soft diagonals in your composition and the reflections of the boats in the water. Your water is fabulous--it looks simple but then you begin to notice all the subtle changes in color and lessening of details as you go farther back in the painting until the sky merges with the sea. You paint water wonderfully.

Thank you Hector and Sylvia. I like very much to paint sea water. It is always different and you never know what will happen. I'm glad you liked the painting.

Gracias Alex, Thank you Pam, Alan, Sandy, Art and Lidia for your nice works on my sea scape.
Lidia, the picture of the beginning seems fine in the screeen but at natural you could see it clearly as unfinished. Sometimes a painting improves a lot when posted and sometimes the contrary.

That's the way I want to paint.
