very nice composition. I am wondering if the scan or digital picture captured your colors accurately. I am having a little trouble picking them up and I think somethin is getting lost in the transmission. from what I can see it looks like very fine work. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

As my painting instructor said to me when I showed her a painting of roses that I had done: "Nice work, and Peonies are SO hard to paint!"

I love it - you captured that elusive light feathery quality of Peonies nicely.

I'm having some trouble making out what's on the table below the vase, but then again, I don't have a very good monitor. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif
The colors are terrific though! Lots and lots of light that seems to travel and bounce around. Quite beautiful

Thanks so much for comments. The "things" on the table were suppose to be flower petals, even though they didn't turn out good. I just could not decide whether to add a darker background or not. Being afraid that it would get messed up, I left it white except on the right side.

One night a week several of the local artists get together and paint, talk and laugh. This piece was sold before it was even completed. What a hoot! I could have ruined it and it still would have brought in $$$$.
