Here is my latest attempt at pastels. A couple of chickens inspired by helping hubby with his landscaping business, the latest client had a few chickens and allowed me to take some photos as long as he could have the painting if he wanted. Hope he likes it.

These are great Lisa, look very realistic to me, especially the eyes. I think its a bit much though the client wanting the painting in exchange for a few photos of his chickens - dont show it to him!!!!!!

Thanks Lexy, we did talk about money, so I am hoping he is going to pay me for them. :cat:

Excellent Lisa! I love the feather detail, eyes, and I also love the beaks, all very well done!
I agree with Lexy, don't give the away the painting just because he agreed to allow you to take a few pics of his chickens. If he wants this beautiful painting, he should pay for it.

Awesome work! So realistic.

Nice painting!

And I would agree - this isn't a fair trade. I might trade a painting for a 2 or 3 hour modeling session with a human model in lieu of a fee, but a painting for a few photos? Nope...not without some $$ :D You might consider giving him a discount but I would advise against an equal trade.

Why not give him a photo of the painting! :) That sounds fairer to me.
Well done with that - very realistic. Gail

I agree with everyone.... if he likes, then he should pay for it! Turned down a photo that a lady took, because she said she should get one free.
People don't know how much work you put into a painting! Some take me over a month to finish.

Lisa, they are terrific portraits. Great work on the wrinkly bits!! Suggest he uses them for advertising purposes so that at least you get some publicity for such lovely work which must have taken ages.
