This 12" x 14" oil on canvas is now signed... Thank you all for encouragement from previous post. Hope it does not disappoint?
Note: The image appears a bit darker than actual as a result of my feeble attempt to improve photo.

you kept the changes within the spirit
the reds move in from left bottom to right
the bluse move in from right bottum to mid center,
the greens move in from upper right to center,
top and bottom relate

Oh wow, you really got into color now.
Good for You.
Nice pink in the sky.
I have to admit, I don't know what these things are hanging down, but I like it anyway.

Jerry: I think it's finished... Are you still missing color???

GC: the hanging objects are lobster buoys, common to this area.

Looks good.
One thing that gets me a little is that the yellowish tones in the middles are not echoed elsewhere. A bit more yellow elsewhere would unite.
Here is a version with some yellow added here and there - I put too much on the left side and perhaps elsewhere too - I think it illustrates the idea though. The areas I liked better with a touch of yellow is the roof, foreground and distant tree.

no I'm not missing color.
I don't think it needs being changed;
I am stunned, however, by the flavour of the blues chosen.
Yet it seems to have made a happy dornberg and I would leave it for some time at least until the merit of that stops reverberating.

Henrik's version is closer to original than my own post!

Jerry, the blue is color of tarps and sea... I thought it important...

Merely a student of life!:)

'The artist is no more than a receptacle for sensations, a brain, a recording apparatus. But if it interferes, if it dares, feeble apparatus that it is, to deliberately intervene in what it should be translating, its own pettiness gets into the picture. The work becomes inferior.... Paul Cezanne...

Wonderful with the colors. It makes me smell the eastern seaboard. Great work. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

Dear Dornberg,
Thank you for noticing! I really worked at weaving the colors in this painting... After re-reading your insightful comments, I checked out your webpage. AWESOME! Some of these have made it onto WC, but there are so many masterpieces!!!
Thank you, and all, again for your comments on "Southport Phone!"
