View Full Version : Sleepy ducks

Went sketching at the swamp again this morning. A beautiful day, all the birds seemed to be sleeping. I felt like lying down on the ground and joining them - a very peaceful, sleepy kinda spot I found.;)

A4 sketchbook page; uni-ball eye rollerball pen - I like them for sketching, but the ink comes out so thick and rich you don't get much use out of them before they are empty! Have to find something else, I think....

Very good place for a quiet nap, Chris! :D

Makes me wish I had a place like that to sit and sketch :D:)

Thanks Monica and Murray.:)

The only worry I had was if my folding stool was going to sink into the soft ground.;)

I'm so jealous of your tenacity of sketching everyday at lunch - Excellent work Seejay!

Good stuff again Chris! I like the ferny plants at the base of the tree. I doodle at my desk with uni-ball pens all the time. :)

Excellent work Chris. These sketches of yours are always so loose and airy. I hope to do work as fine someday.

Thanks all kind comment givers!

Jamie: this was a Sunday morning sketch!

Sharon: it's only 'nearly everyday' at the moment, slacko that I am! Every bit helps..

Mel: you can be a duck if you like!:) Very relaxing indeed.

danny: you probably get your uniballs for free at work! They are quite expensive for the use I get out of them - nice for sketching tho', if you like it loose.

Mike: I'm blushing!;) Thanks

Great details Chris.

I like your style of drawing.

Maybe I will be able to draw half as good as you one day.
I hope so.

I am doing lots of practice this morning.

I tried all the pens I have here, & I prefer the Dip Pen.

Just looks so much balder than the others.

Thanks Phillip....I have a long way to go myself; just enjoy your drawing, and things will happen. Keep practising, and try drawing lots from life.
