Here's my first attempt at a miniature! Coloured pencil, size as shown - face is just one inch! I am now completely cross-eyed - LOL! http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Still needs work on the facial shading and shoulder, background, etc.

Great title for a great portrait! I imagine this little beauty in a glass pendant with gold bezel and a black satin cord -
a thoroughly modern version of antique watercolor miniatures on ivory...

Helen, this is fabulous. I have seen a lot of your portraits around this site and all I can say is WOW! You truly have a gift (as does TeAnne). To capture someone so accurately and with such emotion is a real acheivement. You give me inspiration to keep trying, a goal to reach for. And of course all props to Tina Turner, a beautiful, strong, independant woman.
