Yes, Rod, you set a high bar for us.
Love this, looks like a leather bag, wonderful texture. I especially like the spokes as entree, they don't scream at you like mine would.

Very nice rod, the patenia of the leather is well handled, and the lines of the spokes bring the viewer into the painting and to the focal point

Rod, this is wonderful--so textural where it needs to be, and so smooth and metallic on the spokes. A high bar has definitely been set!

Rod, beautiful job! Now I see why you teach others to paint.

I agree with all of the above, the texture in the bag is great, looks very leathery, and the spokes metallic.

We girls are really going to have to get busy!:(

I have to say I'm relieved this isn't being entered in the challenge!!!! lol

Rod, it's all been said, your painting is beautiful! I am constantly amazed at how you take an old, rusty object and make it a thing of beauty. Truly inspirational

Hello Rod,

Your painting is really striking in its simple subject that is really quite complex because of all the different textural surfaces. You've captured the leather of the bag, the peeling paint of the metal, the surface of the seat, and the shiny spokes so well. (Looks like that tire needs to be changed since it seems to be separating at the top.) My favorite little bit is the emblem or logo pressed into the leather of the bag. Fabulous!!!
