Hi everyone,

haven't posted in a while. my bud, Em, was kind enough to take pictures of my larger paintings with her digital camera so I could post them.

this is one I did years ago in one of the first courses I took. I'm quite happy with it - except for those darn trees! they still give me trouble to this day!

the paper I used wasn't the greatest - it was from a grumbacher block

size - 15"x20"

back then I was using cotman paints.

critiques and comments most welcome.http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/03-May-2003/18759-DSC02064.JPG

I think your painting is lovely. I sympathize about the trees, although I don't think they look that bad.:)

Yep I know that sky...lol!

I have seen a similar winter sky, although not on
the prairies.

This is a really nice painting. Nice subdued colors too.

Lovely work! My parents have a cabin at Burn Stick Lake and this is a perfect representation of what we see there.

Been to Caroline many times and feel that this represents that area so well. You have captured the area and the feel very well.
Like your work and your use of complimentary colors.
