This is the first anything I've done with Pastels. This was a lot of fun but I have a lot to learn as well! Originally this was just going to be doing the eyes to see if I could blend and create the 3-D look. The picture was drawn while watching Colin Bradley video
Here is the completed drawing. If you are interested...... This is the WIP:

EDIT to ADD:
I used Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils on the smooth side of Canson Mi-Teintes paper.
Image size approx. 4.5" x 7"
C&C's welcomed!
Thanks,
Peggy

Your eyes are beautiful! Pastels and me don't get along..they insist on getting all over the place and not where I want them to go....

Thanks Barb and Pat :)
It was fun to do but now I need to challenge myself and draw something complete vs just part of the head and no background.
Pat have you tried the pencils? I had hardly any dust! Though I really have a light hand too. If you hit these the way you say you hit your CP's, yeah, I think you would still have a lot of dust

That is really nice. I like that you did not go any further and completed more of the cat. And that you left the right side open for that cat to look into. That is a photography thing.
