View Full Version : Hof Ter Saxen

I did this in the early morning of January 1, 2000. It is a view from my backyard. The 'thing' in the background is a little castle named 'Hof Ter Saxen'. It was a cold but sunny morning.
If you want to see the real castle go to http://home.planetinternet.be/~hdb9100/ls/htsaksen-ls-bd.htm
Critiques and comments much appreciated.

Lovely! I especially like how you've handled the trees.

So Hof Ter Saksen is practically your garden ... lucky you are !
Your painting is very good but you have to check on the reflection of the trees in the water (:D ) (as you mentioned before ... critiqueing someone else's work etc. etc.) I've been to the place a couple of times and it's very nice. Also "saved" three pictures from the info site. Maybe I'll give it a try too !

another great work. i think the reflections are a little too strong. they throw me off a bit.
love the lost edges in the background

Thx Char, chooky, Erin (Oh what a nice shoe ;).
Bethany and Gilbert: yes you are both right. In fact the trees reflect in the snow, but where is the snow...think I was still drunk that morning :D
Thanks for all the reactions, the are valuable for me.
