W & N paints

I’ve broken my ‘creative pause’ with a portrait of my sister-in-law’s dog. She’s a poodle bichon cross and a gorgeous little girl. Hope she looks like a white dog. I have a tendency to fiddle too much.

All comments are most welcome.

This is a beaut. Maybe think about darkening the washes in the background behind her to make her stand out more, just my opinion tho. Wonderful painting and I can just see her in front of me, I think you captured her!

You've got her personality right there!!!! Is she as sweet as she looks??? Good job... and yes, her fur reads as white!!!

Thank you for all your comments (mostly while I was sleeping). It's a great way to start the day.

I'll try a bit darker on the background as suggested, thanks again.
