Oh wow! Hadn't caught the final photo. That turned out really nice and the fur is great! So many colors and the realistic way in which you styled it. Nice work!

Wow, lots of detail. What I think needs improving on is the chin. My eyes go straight to that area. Then the other thing is more lights/darks. Everything is falling into the middle range making it look flat. I think that might be the problem you noticed w/nose. The hairs definition is great. I like how you've got different direction w/pencil strokes on the way the hairs lay. It's got real potential. I know you were hoping to be finished. I find it hard to be patient too. Hope you take this as constructive c&c.

I know what you mean. Its the first area your eye catches.

This was the original picture of Amber.

Even just seeing that before I post this reply, I can see that values need to worked on. Back to it tonight then.

Looking good. :)

I have to agree about the chin though. Even though the photo kind of looks that way, maybe you can tone it down a bit.

That fur coloration isn't easy to do...what a challenge!!

Hi Annie,
I think you done a wonderful job on your Amber.
I think if you would add a shadowed aread under the chin(as reflected in the photo), it might help to decrease the eye from going straight to that chin area.
lovely detail!

I can see from the photo how the chins giving you problems. I think if it were me, I'd forget about how it looks in the photo and pencil in from another photo of another cat w/out calico look. I mean not two toned, it's confusing and an eye magnet.
