Very fluid! especially in the vase. The flowers are beautiful. I love the whole composition except for the area to the viewers left. I am not sure what is happening here...I see the cup.

Good to see your work!

Thx for the nice reactions....and advice with the up loader. I'm also administrator of the local network at our office. Could you believe that? Shame on me!!
Fagan: you are right, the area left to the viewer is a mess!
It suppose to be a recipient for liquid soap but unfortunately....:D

I don't see any problem on the left... I can read it as a dispenser for liquid soap... I actually like the diffused treatment with blue as background and the object highlighted with negative painting.:)

I agree with Marvin about the liquid soap dispenser--it reads as one very easily. I'm a big fan of negative painting.

I like the strong, pure colors you've used here and the wet in wet, splashy way you've applied them.

This is a lovely painting, and I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Nearly there, Jan!

You missed the last ] from the string.

A tip when uploading: When it returns with the string, click on it 3 times and Windows will select the whole string automatically. Then CTRL+C to copy, close the window and CTRL+V to paste it into your thread.

Looks great to me. Like the looseness of the flowers, something I wish I could achieve in my paintings. :-)

I agree, the flowers are wonderful, very light and lovely.

The part on the left is confusing, cup is okay but whatever the other object is is not clear to me, is it a glass? or a water bottle or spray bottle? I really can't tell I think it blends into the background.

I wouldn't touch the flowers, they are lovely. good job

I really took my time analysing your painting Jan. It works perfect. Like two paintings in one, pulled together by the blue stroke on the right. And the orange in front of the orange vase ... wow ... !

Jan, I develop and design computer applications... Our Network Admins are the bane of my existence!!! LOL:evil:

As to the "mess" in the left corner... I have an antique pewter lighter that is shaped exactly like your dispenser... I thought it was a cigarette lighter... I like the composition!!!!!! Of course, the colour and beautiful loose style...

I don't see the left side as a mess at all and I love the composition: red circle and blue arch..or two blue lines. It works wonderfully as a painting and it matters not at all what that object on the left is (I could see what it was, but I think it's irrelevant here).

Very nice!
