Am I done? Does it look like him? Do you think I need to go darker in the bottom left corner?

Anita:

Wow nicely done! The portrait shows that famous Elvis moody stare. I believe his daughter has it as well. I like this! Well done!
I don't really have anything to add. Why mess with success?

I have always thought Elvis to be beautiful on every level.

I certainly know who you have portrayed without having you state it, but I don't know how much it actually looks like him. This would have been taken when he was very young. The sneer is there.

Now the work I feel is exceptional! Very well done. Lips and nose are fabulous.
Very very nice.

I asked my husband if he could tell who it was...without any hesitation he replied "Elvis Presley". So you definitely captured his likeness.

Beautiful colors, beautifully done!

Wonderful--excellent work and a great likeness of the young Elvis, for those of us old enough to remember him when!

I was 16 when I sat through two consecutive showings of "Love Me Tender" (it was in black and white LOL) in the balcony of the Florida Theatre in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. I also remember the first time I heard him on the radio. It was in my bedroom, at 9:00 on a Saturday night (I was too young to date)
while lying on my bed. He was singing Heartbreak Hotel and I immediately fell for him!

Thanks for the memories!

WOW! TY all very much for looking and commenting. :D

My Mum is THE biggest Elvis fan I know so I was raised on his music. I remember her recieving a phonecall from my Nan the day he died and my Mum spending hours weeping and playing his songs...Bless her!
She has every movie he made, every record and some limited addition CD and record collections that she has never played 'cos "No one runs a laser or a needle over Elvis!" LOL!

It's her birthday on Monday, so I guess I know where this piece will be going huh!

Thanx again!

I'm all shook up!!!

My Father wouldn't let me watch Elvis on Ed Sullivan because of his gyrating hips... His music was ruining the world. . . That's what was wrong with us young people...

TY all! :)
LOL @ Char! I understand that was a familiar Dads' voice in many households when Elvis was on screen!
My Mum would sneak to the pictures in the school holidays, with money her Grandad gave her, and sit through one of his movies over and over until it was time to go home. LOL!
