Something different...almost alla prima...added some touches.
MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Is it working...or not?

I'd say it's working, yes. I like the farmland scene. I would like to see more variation in color withing the individual trees tho. The reds with some burnt sienna brushed in, the blues with some greens, some ochres and browns in the yellows. The water might benefit from a little violet.
But overall, I like it a lot.

Those crimsons so bold its a chance. It payed off on this one I feel. Very nice work and great composition. I feel like a diety looking at this with the ability to pick up and move buildings and lakes on a whim.
great stuff. more!
