Hey! It's not a horse!! Stared at the palette from my white Arab painting and saw these flowers. Used every bit of paint left (added that thinner!!). First time I've painted flowers. Guess they resemble impatiens http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif?? Oil, 8x10. --Shirl

Great idea Shirl! Yes...they look like Impatients. Or ...you could call them "horseflowers" *SMILE*

i like the pattern of colors
perhaps a few could trail off to the right middle or right lower portion
just for balance

I like that the flowers are color complexes against a background that is itself more than a backdrop - in fact it has it's own color integrity.

Thank you for your comments!! This was fun in that I had no idea whatsoever of what I was doing (looks like it too http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif). Wished I had included some kind of container for the flowers (but I didn't have enough paint).
PS - Beverly, can you see the hoofprints http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif?

Wonderful! I have no idea why I can't get the impatients in my backyard to look as good as these?
Don't worry, its gonna be all right....

Thanks Cleo and Tammy. Tammy, for some unknown reason, I can grow impatiens!! Lots of shade, water and food--that's what you need.
Sorry, forgot this isn't a gardening forum...
