View Full Version : 2 Barn Owl paintings...a bit different...

Now for something a bit offbeat...:D

I have a whole genre of watercolors that are figurative, but now and again I put in birds the images.

Here are two that I have used a Barn Owl in the images. They are Watercolor on museum board using only two colors, WN Jet Black and one other color.

In "Time to Move On" there is burnt umber in the owl's eyes (which is hard to see in this photo) and the image is approx 20 x 24 inches.



In "On Silent Wings" the other color is Perylene Maroon and is watercolor on museum board and approx. 26 x 28 inches.

Skilful watercolour work. I love barn owls, and it's nice to see them incorporated into figurative work this way.
