...and 1/2 sheet of 90 lb Arches paper. I used Daler Rowney aquafine ultramarine blue, burnt sienna, some black and some white.
I may do it again with better paint and paper. I will call it Lummi Island Sunset #2.

very nice, good radiating technique on sky, which contrasts nicely with motion of the wave. I used to know a scuba diver who said "It isn't the size of the wave it's the motion of the ocean."

Very nice! I especially like the waves & the reflection.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it! It didn't take much time. Stretching and stapling the paper and letting it dry was longest.
I will work on the next one this weekend.

The only tip I would give is - make the waves smaller as they get near the horizon - otherwise fine.

thanks again for you kind comments and observations.
Yorky, Yes you are right and that is what I tried doing. If you notice the waves near the bottom are longer than the ones at the horizon...some of the smaller waves near the horizon might be too even. I certainly will do it better on the next one. Thanks for the tip.
I will start working on Lummi Island sunset #2 soon I hope!

I have to agree...the waves are really neat.
They give the painting a very stylized feel.
