Hi everyone, just started to add some details to my new wolf painting - hope you like it so far - long way to go yet :) few more steps on my site (http://www.onlineartdemos.co.uk/pages/easel.htm)

Looks great - may I ask about that brush in your hand? What is it? :) And are you using that for all the fine details?

Yes this is my 1st ever Wolf :)
The brush is nothing special just a fairly big rigger, I am using it for the fur details as the Wolf has quite wiry fur.

Here is a quick up-date, so that is the basics done, just more refinement and details when this layer dries over night.

Thanks everyone, yes I made the background towards the blue side as it's roughly the wolf's complimentary colour, so should make it pop.

Jason, may I ask what camera you use? I always have such difficulty taking photos(and I know I'm not alone with this issue).
Yours are so incredibly sharp! Can you tell me which settings you use?
I use a digital camera, just trying a new one Olympus sz-10, cannot figue out the setting though....argh! Driving me bonkers!:o :lol:

I use a Canon 60D, I make sure it is on a tripod, f number around f8

Stunning finish Jason! Your detail is always so amazing! But more important(to me anyway) is the way you use your colors, to portray shape and form.

Amazing Jason, then again, how could we expect anything less?:D I love the detailing on the nose, and the way you've achieved the thick, beautiful fur that wolves have is incredible!
