Hi everyone,
This is the first time that I post here . I'm really not artist, just hobby .But I do love this hobby. All opinions are welcome.
This painting is not finished yet.I would like to make 3 colors layer,or more untill I get the result that I want.
Thank you,Lamai.

That is stunning! I must compliment you on the smoothness of your underpainting and color layer. Can i ask you what medium or combination of mediums you're using? Also is your canvas ultra smooth or standard?

Thank you for sharing.

Hi,
Thanks for your compliment. My medium is the mix from Terpentinersatz+ some drops of Darmmarfirnis +some drops of Linseed oil.I coat 3 times on standard canvas.Pretty smooth.I don't have dead layer here.I find that after umber layer, then color turn out not bad too.

Lamai you are an artist and not just a hobbyist!

Because if you are just a hobbyist I have to admit to being in nursery school!

This is astounding, keep at it and don't be shy, you are an artist!

He said he wants to add 3 more layers, so... I want to see this finished. :D It's *so* close to the original!

Lamai, it would be great if you could get rid of the flash in your painting. It distracts us from your beautiful work. Can you take a photo in a sunny morning, without flash?

Thanks everyone for so nice motivation.Today I try to take again the photo of her. I touched a litle bit her olive green dress, but the color still not right. The biggest problem for me is her face.I just hope that I can make her closer to the original.
I hope that everyone can understand my english.(I'm not native speaker)
Thanks again for all comment ands for visiting my painting.
Friendly,Lamai. (I'm woman,btw)

awwww thank you :-)

However i will agree with Sarastar, I am still painting like in Nursery School next to your fantastic work.

But yes, i am trying to do the underpainting and glazing technique. I hope one day to paint something as good as yours.

Enjoy your work because we are.

This is truly astonishing! Your drawing is so accurate, besides the colors. How do you draw on canvas? I mean do you use grid, carbon paper or projector, or just draw directly? I have very hard time drawing with such big proportions. It's hard to keep overall image in mind when working close to a big canvas.

Hi, Lamai! (We have met on that other German forum before.) Is your Nerissa finished, or do you plan to change any more details? I also think this is a fine painting. If you want to make money by selling your paintings, why don't you walk into one of those shops present in almost every town and show them some of your paintings?

Hi Lorenz.Nerissa is not finish yet,I'm working on it now.I hope this is the last step(if I 'm happy with the result). The most work is detail of the dress.
About selling painting,I would like to try your idea. The problem is I'm not happy with my works yet.I think that my paintins still not good enought. Thanks for your advice Lorenz.I hope to see you around.
