hi everyone. i used to post here, and stopped for a year. i decided to revisit. good to see familiar faces again. (do you guys still remember me? i used to post a series of self portraits in watercolor.)
i've been learning oils, and this is a self portrait i recently completed...

i do look older...i shed my babyface (and gained a few pounds :D)...
my site... ah. memories. i haven't touched that since last May. i have about a year's worth of work to upload... everything will be fixed and new again May 19th... i promise

I remember you...checked your site then and now...looking for more. Where've you been "learning" oils? Like your color and the expression says it all. Strong painting.

the transparency of your paint is incredible.
sure the comp is nice, the geometries, the draughting, the figure, the shirt, but the variance of color within each complex is what makes this get out of bed.

Blown away by your work. Just got back from your site, and must say I think the water-colors are great...but this oil painting is fantastic. can't wait for more.

...hi artinoils... i will have more on the site soon, new work too... i took a break from painting about a year ago and concentrated on drawing.. now its back to knees deep in paint again
...jerry, .. the transparency is the watercolor blood in me, i'm still in that odd transition

hey guy gotta chime in and welcome you back...kinda looks a bit like the awesome watercolors i remember...i would agree with all that jerry said....and add that i want to see more so stick around, ya hear...:D

Jeremy... you have made the transition from watercolor to oil very, very well!! The feeling of transparency is definately a plus, and your brush strokes "ain't too bad either!" Jim
