Love this one.

I bought a book on Ink & wash yesterday. also bought some ink. I always like the effects that ink & wash produces. I am going to attempt one in the next week or so. I will post when finished.

Nice one Jim.

A change in style for you - can see another series coming on.

I would perhaps darken the water a little.

I like the varying level of detail, increasing from right to left; it really leads the eye onto the superstructure of the boat. The resulting eye movement from right to left contributes to a sense of motion for the boat in the same direction.

[In edit:] And the extra bit of horizon detail to the left of the boat acts as an effective stop to the eye from traveling off the left edge.

This is excellent, I like this style very much, did you enjoy it better than your usual painting style? I hope you're going to do some more like this, or maybe it's the subject I like, whatever---------------well done-----------Alan
